Enjoy Life Foods: http://www.enjoylifefoods.com

Enjoy Life Foods makes packaged goods that are gluten-free and allergen-free. It’s a nice idea to be able to buy packaged goods that are free of the food that one can not eat. But, does it actually taste good? Is it worth the price of $4.00 for only 14 cookies? One good thing about the company is that it’s factory is in Schiller Park, IL. So when you buy from this company you are buying something made in America that is not imported.

I put them to the test and tried the chewy bars (caramel apple, very berry, and chocolate), the chewy cookies (chocolate chip and snickerdoodle), and the crunchy cookies (double chocolate and sugar crisp). The chewy bars are dry and are supposed to be like a snack bar or granola bar substitute. The chocolate did not have enough sugar in it. The only bar worth buying for the taste is the caramel apple bar. The berry did not have much of a berry taste or many berries in it at all. The chewy chocolate chip cookie did not taste like much, but some kids might like it. I think homemade cookies would be better tasting and more economical. The snickerdoodles were the best. They had a real great taste and I could not get enough of them. However, the crunchy cookies tasted awful! Who makes cookies with buckwheat? I’m really sensitive to the taste of food. Buckwheat tastes awful. That is the flavor that is the most powerful in the crunchy cookies, so it is not worth buying. I just wanted to throw them out.

Overall, I do not think one should waste your money on this brand. There are other brands that I prefer. The only product worth buying is the snickerdoodle. It is easy enough to find suitable desert recipes on the internet that taste better and will be more economical in the long run.
